TL;DR — the Pipedrive vs Zoho CRM bill

The per-seat prices, side by side

What the two pricing pages show (September 2026): Pipedrive lists four tiers — Lite $14, Growth $39, Premium $59 and Ultimate $79 per seat per month, billed annually — with no free plan, a 14-day trial that needs no credit card, and a "save up to 42%" pitch on annual billing. Zoho CRM lists a free edition for 3 users plus three published paid tiers — Standard $14, Professional $23 and Enterprise $40 per user per month billed annually.— pipedrive.com/en/pricing and zoho.com CRM pricing page, checked September 2026

Per-seat figures exclude taxes, checked on vendor pricing pages September 2026. Neither page displays a month-to-month rate for these tiers at the time we checked: Pipedrive pitches annual billing as saving up to 42%, and Zoho's page lists annual per-user rates without a monthly toggle beside them.

On paper the first paid step is a dead heat. What decides the comparison is everything after it — and the two vendors put very different ladders above the same $14 floor.

The $14 fork: same entry, a $16 gap at the second tier

Most teams do not stay on the entry tier for long. Pipedrive puts full email sync with tracking, automations and nurturing sequences, and forecast reports at Growth ($39). Zoho positions its process automation and customization step at Professional ($23). Those are the like-for-like purchases — the tier a team buys when the entry plan starts to feel thin — and the $16-per-seat difference compounds with headcount.

Second-tier annual bill5 seats15 seats50 seats
Pipedrive Growth$2,340$7,020$23,400
Zoho CRM Professional41% less at 15 & 50$1,380$4,140$13,800
Difference$960/yr$2,880/yr$9,600/yr
Read the step, not the sticker. Going from Lite to Growth raises Pipedrive's per-seat rate by $25 (+179%). Going from Standard to Professional raises Zoho's by $9 (+64%). Both vendors make their money on the second click; Zoho's second click is simply cheaper.

The top of the ladder tells the same story. At 15 seats, Pipedrive Premium bills $10,620 a year and Ultimate $14,220; Zoho Enterprise bills $7,200. Zoho also sells a CRM Plus bundle — CRM plus its marketing and support products — starting at $20 per user per month, which at 15 users is $300 a month, half of what Enterprise costs before any discounting. Teams pricing Enterprise should price CRM Plus in the same sitting.

The bill at 5, 15 and 50 seats, entry tier

Entry tier, annual billing5 seats /mo15 seats /mo50 seats /mo
Pipedrive Lite$70$210$700
Zoho CRM Standard$70$210$700

Identical rows — $840, $2,520 and $8,400 a year. At the entry tier the decision is not about price at all: it is about which features sit above it, whether you need a free plan at all, and how each vendor charges for the things the plan table leaves out.

One asymmetry matters before any of that: neither vendor publishes a seat minimum, but Pipedrive has no free plan at all. The smallest possible Pipedrive bill is a single Lite seat at $168 a year; the smallest possible Zoho bill for a team of three is $0.

The free-plan math: three users, $504 apart

Team of 3, annual billingPer monthPer year
Zoho CRM Free$0$0
Pipedrive Lite (cheapest paid)$42$504

Zoho's free edition is listed as free for 3 users with no expiry stated — a real three-seat ceiling, not a trial. The moment the team takes its fourth user, it lands on Standard at $14 a seat, or $672 a year for 4. Pipedrive's 14-day trial needs no credit card, but every seat on every plan bills from day one.

If your team is three people or fewer, this single line decides the comparison: $0 versus $504 a year buys a lot of patience with any other limitation the free edition has.

Pipedrive's add-on layer: the bill behind the plan table

Pipedrive prices its plan table per seat but several of the features that pull buyers in are priced per company, on top of it. The pricing page lists five add-ons with starting prices:

Pipedrive add-onStarting price /company/mo
Campaigns$13.33
Projects$16
LeadBooster$32.50
Smart Docs$32.50
Web Visitors$41

Starting prices from Pipedrive's pricing page, September 2026; each add-on's final rate depends on the plan it is attached to.

Stack the two most common purchases on a 5-seat Growth team — LeadBooster for capture, Projects for delivery — and the bill runs $39 × 5 + $48.50 = $243.50 a month, $2,922 a year. At 15 seats the same stack is $633.50 a month, $7,602 a year. None of it appears in the plan table a buyer screenshots.

Budget the second line, not the first. A "Growth team" that has added capture and documents is a $87.50-a-month company before seats are counted. Zoho bundles most of the same ground into Professional or the CRM Plus bundle, which is why the honest comparison is $39-plus-add-ons against $23 — not $39 against $23.

Annual vs monthly: what each page actually publishes

Pipedrive's page is annual-only: one rate per tier, "per seat per month, billed annually", with the annual pitch priced as saving up to 42% — a framing that implies a month-to-month rate roughly 70% higher without ever printing it. Zoho's CRM page lists annual per-user rates with no monthly column beside them. If you intend to pay month to month, confirm the rate in the signup flow before you build a budget on it; the pricing page will not give you the number.

There is a bargaining angle in what Pipedrive omits. A vendor that prints both rates lets you compute the exact cost of flexibility; one that hides it turns every month-to-month quote into a negotiation. Teams that expect to run monthly — seasonal sales teams, contract-based hires — should get the number in writing before committing to a seat count.

Who should not switch

How to run the numbers for your own headcount

The tables above use 5, 15 and 50 seats because those are the points where the gap changes character — a rounding error at 5, a salary at 15, a budget line at 50. For any other headcount, multiply the per-seat rates — or use the CRM cost calculator, which prices Pipedrive, Zoho and six other CRMs at your exact seat count on both billing cycles.

Frequently asked questions

What does a 5-person team pay for Pipedrive and Zoho CRM?

At the entry tier the bills are identical: $14 per seat per month billed annually on both Pipedrive Lite and Zoho CRM Standard, or $840 a year for 5 seats. At the second tier they split — Growth $2,340 versus Professional $1,380 — and a 5-seat Growth team that adds Pipedrive's two most common add-ons bills $2,922 a year.

Which is cheaper, Pipedrive or Zoho CRM?

The entry tier is a tie. From the second tier up Zoho is cheaper by $16 per seat per month at the like-for-like step — 41% off Pipedrive's second-tier bill at 15 seats ($4,140 versus $7,020 a year). Zoho's free edition for 3 users widens the gap for the smallest teams.

Do Pipedrive and Zoho CRM offer monthly billing?

Neither pricing page prints a month-to-month column for these tiers. Pipedrive lists annual rates only, pitched as saving up to 42%; Zoho's CRM page lists annual per-user rates with no monthly toggle beside them. Confirm month-to-month rates in the signup flow before budgeting on them.

What add-ons does Pipedrive charge extra for?

Campaigns from $13.33, Projects from $16, LeadBooster from $32.50, Smart Docs from $32.50 and Web Visitors from $41 per company per month, on top of any per-seat plan. LeadBooster and Projects together add $48.50 a month to the company bill.

Is Zoho CRM's free plan actually usable?

For up to three users, yes — it is a standing free edition, not a trial. A three-person team pays $0 where Pipedrive's cheapest possible bill is $504 a year. The fourth user moves the team to Standard at $14 a seat.
