Two pricing models, not two prices

HubSpot Marketing Hub and Pipedrive get compared on their headline numbers, which happen to sit close together once the promotion is counted. The comparison that survives a renewal happens one level down, because the two pages are built on different units.

Pipedrive prices per seat on every tier. Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate are all quoted per seat per month billed annually, so the invoice is the seat rate multiplied by the number of people, and a one-person account is a legitimate purchase on any tier.

HubSpot prices per seat on the entry tier and per account above it. Starter is a per-seat rate. Professional and Enterprise are monthly prices for the account that already include three and five seats respectively, with additional seats priced separately at $45 and $75. That single difference drives almost every number further down this page, and it is also why the two vendors' "second tier" prices are not the same kind of figure.

The rest of the bill has its own page: HubSpot's hidden costs and Pipedrive's itemise the fees that sit outside the seat rate, and the cross-vendor hidden-cost guide puts the same categories side by side for six CRM vendors.

Checked September–October 2026 on hubspot.com/pricing/marketing and pipedrive.com/en/pricing. HubSpot's Starter rate is the advertised promotional price, with the vendor's own list-price element showing $20 struck through and the banner quoting a saving of up to 65%, which matches $20 down to $7; the page states the offer applies to monthly or annual subscriptions. Pipedrive's cards show one figure each, labelled per seat per month billed annually; its billing switch offers a monthly option but no monthly figure appears on the cards, so the monthly column is left blank rather than estimated. Both pages exclude tax.

Read the columns together and the shape of the decision appears. The per-seat column rewards reducing headcount and punishes nothing else. The per-account column has a floor: paying for three seats you do not use, or five on Enterprise, is not optional at those tiers. Pipedrive has no free tier at all — a 14-day trial is the only zero-cost entry, where HubSpot's free edition covers two users indefinitely.

The smallest purchase each platform allows

TierMinimum you can buyCost of that minimumPer year
HubSpot Free2 users, $0$0$0
HubSpot Starter1 seat at the advertised rate$7 a month$84
HubSpot Professional3 seats (included, not optional)$800 a month$9,600
HubSpot Enterprise5 seats (included, not optional)$3,600 a month$43,200
Pipedrive Lite1 seat$14 a month$168
Pipedrive Growth1 seat$39 a month$468
Pipedrive Premium1 seat$59 a month$708
Pipedrive Ultimate1 seat$79 a month$948

The two floors are $9,600 a year and $168 a year: a factor of 57 for the first step onto a mid tier. A three-person team that wants what HubSpot calls Professional is buying three seats whether or not it has three people to put in them, and the same rule applies at five seats on Enterprise.

Pipedrive's page does not state a minimum seat count, so a single seat is the smallest figure we can quote from it; its 14-day trial is the only zero-cost route in. HubSpot's free edition is the other asymmetry worth naming: two users can run indefinitely at $0, which makes it a genuine alternative to paying for a seat rather than a countdown clock.

Five seats, annual billing

TierPer monthPer year
HubSpot Starter $7 (promotional rate)$35$420
HubSpot Starter at the $20 list rate$100$1,200
Pipedrive Lite $14$70$840
Pipedrive Growth $39$195$2,340
Pipedrive Premium $59$295$3,540
Pipedrive Ultimate $79$395$4,740
HubSpot Professional $800 including 3 seats + 2 at $45$890$10,680
HubSpot Enterprise $3,600 including 5 seats$3,600$43,200

Five seats is the seat count where the models collide hardest. HubSpot's Professional tier does not get you anything near $890 a month of value at five seats — you are buying the tier, and the two extra seats are the smaller part of the invoice. Its Enterprise tier is not even reachable at this size without paying for all five included seats, which is the whole point of a per-account price. Pipedrive's five seats, meanwhile, span $840 to $4,740 depending on tier with no floor to clear.

Add the required onboarding fee and HubSpot Professional's first year at five seats is $13,680 against $10,680 in subsequent years; Enterprise's is $50,200 against $43,200. The fee is one-time and it is stated as required on the pricing page, so a first-year comparison that leaves it out is not a comparison of what you will be invoiced.

Fifteen seats, annual billing

TierPer monthPer yearFirst year with onboarding
HubSpot Starter $7 (promotional rate)$105$1,260$1,260
HubSpot Starter at the $20 list rate$300$3,600$3,600
Pipedrive Lite $14$210$2,520$2,520
Pipedrive Growth $39$585$7,020$7,020
Pipedrive Premium $59$885$10,620$10,620
Pipedrive Ultimate $79$1,185$14,220$14,220
HubSpot Professional $800 including 3 seats + 12 at $45$1,340$16,080$19,080
HubSpot Enterprise $3,600 including 5 seats + 10 at $75$4,350$52,200$59,200

Fifteen seats is also, in HubSpot's case, the seat count where the full base price is finally being used: Professional includes three seats, so twelve of the fifteen are paid for at $45. That is where the tier's real rate appears — $45 a seat is 6.4 times the $7 promotional Starter rate and 2.25 times the $20 list rate, and it is a rate no other tier on either page offers.

The like-for-like line here — second tier against second tier — is $19,080 against $10,620 in year one, a gap of $8,460. Against Pipedrive's cheapest paid tier above Lite the gap is $12,060. Neither figure includes add-ons, and both assume no promotion on the Pipedrive side.

Read the other way round, the entry tiers invert the ranking: while the $7 promotion is in force, fifteen Starter seats cost $1,260 against Pipedrive Lite's $2,520. The same fifteen seats cost $3,600 if the rate reverts to the struck-through $20 — still below Pipedrive Premium but no longer below Lite.

Fifty seats, annual billing

TierPer monthPer yearFirst year with onboarding
HubSpot Starter $7 (promotional rate)$350$4,200$4,200
HubSpot Starter at the $20 list rate$1,000$12,000$12,000
Pipedrive Lite $14$700$8,400$8,400
Pipedrive Growth $39$1,950$23,400$23,400
HubSpot Professional $800 including 3 seats + 47 at $45$2,915$34,980$37,980
Pipedrive Premium $59$2,950$35,400$35,400
Pipedrive Ultimate $79$3,950$47,400$47,400
HubSpot Enterprise $3,600 including 5 seats + 45 at $75$6,975$83,700$90,700

At fifty seats the two mid tiers land within $420 a year of each other on annual billing — $34,980 against $35,400 — and the ordering flips again once HubSpot's onboarding is added: $37,980 against $35,400, so Pipedrive Premium is $2,580 cheaper in year one and $420 cheaper afterwards. This is the seat count where the earlier gaps narrow, because HubSpot's per-account base is spread over more people while Pipedrive's per-seat multiplication catches up.

The uncrossed step is Enterprise. At $75 a seat on top of a $3,600 base, HubSpot's top published tier costs $83,700 a year at fifty seats and $90,700 in year one, roughly 2.5 times Pipedrive's dearest published tier at the same headcount. Both vendors also stop publishing at some point: HubSpot's free edition caps at two users and Pipedrive's page carries no free tier, so the bottom of neither ladder is a plan a growing team can stay on.

Cost of taking everything published$3,000 or $7,000 once, plus $108 a year per 1,000 credits, plus $600 a year for AEO$1,623.96 a year for all five add-ons

The categories do not overlap, which is the practical point. HubSpot's exposure is concentrated in one mandatory line — $3,000 is 17.9 Lite seats for a year, or 31.3 Starter seats at $1,200 a year at the list rate — and then in usage, where credits are metered at $9.00 per 1,000 beyond the included bundle. Pipedrive's exposure is spread across optional per-company subscriptions that add $135.33 a month if a team takes all five, and it charges nothing per seat for them, which means the add-on bill does not grow with headcount.

That difference has a threshold: at three seats Pipedrive's five add-ons cost $1,623.96 a year against $126 of seat fees on Lite, because the add-ons are company-level. At fifty seats the same add-on bill is unchanged while the seats cost $8,400. HubSpot's credit line behaves the opposite way but is consumed by usage rather than headcount, so it scales with how hard the team leans on the AI features rather than with how many people are in the account.

The monthly rate question

Only one of the two platforms answers it on the page.

TierBilled annuallyBilled monthlyDifference
HubSpot Starter$7 per seat$7 per seat$0 — the offer applies to both cycles
HubSpot Professional$800 per month$890 per month+$90 a month, or +$1,080 a year on the three included seats
HubSpot Enterprise$3,600 per monthnot printed—
Pipedrive, all four tiers$14 / $39 / $59 / $79 per seatnot printed—

HubSpot's Starter tier is the unusual one: the advertised rate is identical on both cycles, which is what a promotional rate that is not tied to annual commitment looks like. Professional carries the more familiar pattern — $890 month to month against $800 billed annually — and because the tier's price already covers three seats, the $1,080 annual difference is $360 per seat per year across those three.

Pipedrive's page carries a billing switch offering monthly or annual and a statement that annual billing saves up to 42%, and then prints no monthly figure on any of the four plan cards. We do not derive one from the discount: a percentage badge applied to an annual rate is not a published monthly rate, and the two can differ once per-seat rounding and regional pricing are involved. A buyer who needs the month-to-month number has to reach the checkout to see it.

Who should not switch

Do not move from Pipedrive to HubSpot for the Starter rate if you expect to outgrow it. The $7 seat is real, and it is also the only per-seat tier on the page. The step above it is $800 a month for three seats with a $3,000 onboarding fee, so the cost of outgrowing Starter is not a bigger seat rate — it is a different billing model plus a one-off fee, and that is the number worth modelling before the move rather than after.

Do not move from HubSpot to Pipedrive if your CRM is already wired into HubSpot's other hubs. The seat rates favour Pipedrive on most tiers at most seat counts, but the comparison above prices a single hub. Consolidating a stack onto one platform is a different calculation, and this page does not price it.

Do not buy either one for a three-person team that mostly needs a contact list. HubSpot's free edition covers two users indefinitely and Pipedrive's cheapest paid tier is $168 a seat a year; a three-person team paying for a mid tier on either platform is buying tier features, not seats. If the third seat is the only reason to pay, the cost is $84 a year on Starter and $2,520 a year on Pipedrive Lite at fifteen seats — the seat you need determines the platform more often than the platform determines the seat.

Do not compare the two "second tiers" as equivalents. HubSpot Professional and Pipedrive Growth are both the step above entry, and they are separated by $8,460 at fifteen seats in year one. The tier names and positions are similar; the units are not.

Price either platform at your seat count → The fees outside the seat rate →

If the seat rate is only one line of the decision, the rest is on the same method: the hidden costs of CRM itemises required onboarding fees, per-company add-ons and seat floors across six vendors, and the monthly-rate comparison sorts the same vendors by which of them print a month-to-month price at all.

Frequently asked questions

Is HubSpot cheaper than Pipedrive?

On the entry tier, yes while the promotion lasts: $7 a seat against $14, which is $1,260 against $2,520 a year at fifteen seats. Above the entry tier the pages are not comparable line for line, because HubSpot Professional is $800 a month including three seats and Enterprise $3,600 a month including five, with extra seats at $45 and $75.

Why does HubSpot Professional cost $800 a month for three seats?

Because Professional and Enterprise are priced per account with a fixed number of seats included — three and five — so Professional cannot be bought for a single user. The smallest Professional purchase is $800 a month, or $9,600 a year billed annually, against Pipedrive's smallest purchase of one Lite seat at $168 a year.

Does Pipedrive publish a monthly price?

No. Its page offers a monthly or annual switch and states that annual billing saves up to 42%, but no plan card prints a month-to-month figure. HubSpot prints one on Professional ($890 against $800) and Starter is advertised at the same $7 on both cycles.

What fees sit outside the seat price on each platform?

HubSpot marks onboarding as required at $3,000 on Professional and $7,000 on Enterprise, sells AI credits at $9.00 per 1,000 billed annually, and charges $50 a month for its AEO add-on. Pipedrive prices its five add-ons per company at $13.33, $16, $32.50, $32.50 and $41 a month, or $1,623.96 a year for all five, and waives implementation above $400 a year of spend.

How much does a 50-seat deployment cost on each platform?

HubSpot Professional at fifty seats is $2,915 a month, or $34,980 a year, plus $3,000 onboarding in year one; Enterprise is $6,975 a month, or $83,700 a year, plus $7,000. Pipedrive at fifty seats is $8,400 on Lite, $23,400 on Growth, $35,400 on Premium and $47,400 on Ultimate a year.
