Zoho CRM and HubSpot get compared on their cheapest published seat, where HubSpot currently wins on price and loses on nothing else. That comparison stops being useful one tier up, because the two pages are not selling the same shape of licence.
Zoho CRM publishes one per-seat ladder with both billing cycles visible. Standard, Professional and Enterprise are quoted per user per month, and the billing toggle switches all three cards between the annual and the monthly rate without a discount badge anywhere on the page. The free edition sits underneath at three users.
HubSpot's entry tier is priced per seat and everything above it is priced per seat too — at a much higher rate. Starter is a promotional per-seat rate that applies to either billing cycle. Professional and Enterprise are published per seat as well, at $90 and $150 a month with an annual commitment, and both carry a one-time onboarding fee marked required.
The practical consequence is that the two ladders cross. HubSpot is cheaper than Zoho CRM below roughly its own Professional tier and several times more expensive above it, and the size of the jump is the thing a budget review needs to see before the seat count is fixed. The fee layer around both ladders is itemised in the cross-vendor hidden-cost guide, and each vendor's own page has its own breakdown: HubSpot's and Zoho CRM's.
| Platform & tier | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Seats | Onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM Free | $0 | $0 | up to 3 users | — |
| Zoho CRM Standard | $14 per seat | $20 per seat | per seat | not printed |
| Zoho CRM Professional | $23 per seat | $35 per seat | per seat | not printed |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise | $40 per seat | $50 per seat | per seat | not printed |
| HubSpot Free | $0 | $0 | up to 2 users | — |
| HubSpot Starter | $7 per seat ($20 struck through) | $7 per seat | per seat | not printed |
| HubSpot Professional | $90 per seat | $100 per seat | per seat | $1,500 one-time |
| HubSpot Enterprise | $150 per seat | not printed | per seat | $3,500 one-time |
Checked October 2026 on zoho.com (CRM edition) and hubspot.com/pricing/sales. Zoho CRM's billing toggle loads on the annual cycle and carries no percentage badge; the monthly figures re-render the three cards at $20, $35 and $50. HubSpot's Starter rate is the advertised promotional price, with the vendor's own struck-through element showing $20 and the banner quoting a saving of up to 65%, which matches $20 down to $7; the page states the offer applies to monthly or annual subscriptions. HubSpot Professional and Enterprise are published per seat on the Sales Hub page, with $90 and $100 the two positions of its billing toggle. All figures exclude tax, and both pages are read in USD.
The entry comparison is a two-line table. The second tier is where the two pages stop resembling each other.
| Tier | Zoho CRM | HubSpot | Multiple |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry paid seat | $14 (Standard, annual) | $7 (Starter, promotional) | HubSpot is 0.5x |
| Second tier | $23 (Professional, annual) | $90 (Professional, committing annually) | HubSpot is 3.9x |
| Top published tier | $40 (Enterprise, annual) | $150 (Enterprise) | HubSpot is 3.8x |
Read the middle row against the top row and the reversal is the whole story: the platform that is half the price at entry is nearly four times the price one tier up. A team that starts on the promotional seat rate and grows into the middle tier changes from paying less than the alternative to paying $67 more per seat per month, and the tier change is usually driven by features rather than headcount.
The comparison also has a floor problem on the HubSpot side at the top of the ladder. Its Enterprise tier prints a single rate with no monthly position, so a buyer who wants to avoid an annual commitment has no published figure to plan against there — the same asymmetry Zoho CRM avoids by printing both cycles on all three paid cards.
| Tier | Minimum you can buy | Cost of that minimum | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM Free | 3 users, $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Zoho CRM Standard | 1 seat | $14 a month | $168 |
| Zoho CRM Professional | 1 seat | $23 a month | $276 |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise | 1 seat | $40 a month | $480 |
| HubSpot Free | 2 users, $0 | $0 | $0 |
| HubSpot Starter | 1 seat at the advertised rate | $7 a month | $84 |
| HubSpot Professional | 1 seat | $90 a month | $1,080 plus $1,500 onboarding |
| HubSpot Enterprise | 1 seat | $150 a month | $1,800 plus $3,500 onboarding |
Both ladders can be entered by a one-person account, which keeps this comparison honest: the $90 seat can be bought on its own. What cannot be bought on its own is the onboarding that comes with it. A single Professional seat costs $1,080 a year in licence fees and $1,500 once before it — the fee is larger than the first year of the seat, and the same relationship holds at Enterprise, where $3,500 of onboarding sits in front of an $1,800 seat.
The free tiers differ by one user and that user is the most expensive seat in this comparison. Zoho CRM's free edition covers three users, so a three-person team pays $0. HubSpot's covers two, so the third user starts HubSpot Starter at $7 a month, or $84 a year on the promotional rate and $240 a year if the rate returns to the struck-through $20. On the Zoho side the fourth user is the step up: $56 a month on Standard, or $672 a year, on a seat that was free the day before.
| Tier | Per month | Per year | First year with onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM Standard $14 | $70 | $840 | $840 |
| Zoho CRM Professional $23 | $115 | $1,380 | $1,380 |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise $40 | $200 | $2,400 | $2,400 |
| HubSpot Starter $7 (promotional rate) | $35 | $420 | $420 |
| HubSpot Starter at the $20 struck-through rate | $100 | $1,200 | $1,200 |
| HubSpot Professional $90 | $450 | $5,400 | $6,900 |
| HubSpot Enterprise $150 | $750 | $9,000 | $12,500 |
Five seats shows both ladders working normally, which is why the numbers look unremarkable. Zoho CRM spans $840 to $2,400 a year across its three tiers; HubSpot spans $420 to $9,000. The interesting line is the promotional one: five HubSpot Starter seats at $420 a year undercut even Zoho CRM's cheapest paid tier at $840, so at this seat count and below, the promotional rate is genuinely the cheapest paid CRM in the comparison — and it is also the only tier HubSpot prices below the other vendor.
Compare the second tiers instead and the five-seat gap is $6,900 against $1,380 in year one, a difference of $5,520. That is the number that answers "is the extra tier worth it", and it is not a per-seat difference: $5,520 is the price of four extra Zoho Professional seats and change.
| Tier | Per month | Per year | First year with onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM Standard $14 | $210 | $2,520 | $2,520 |
| Zoho CRM Professional $23 | $345 | $4,140 | $4,140 |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise $40 | $600 | $7,200 | $7,200 |
| HubSpot Starter $7 (promotional rate) | $105 | $1,260 | $1,260 |
| HubSpot Starter at the $20 struck-through rate | $300 | $3,600 | $3,600 |
| HubSpot Professional $90 | $1,350 | $16,200 | $17,700 |
| HubSpot Enterprise $150 | $2,250 | $27,000 | $30,500 |
At fifteen seats the like-for-like second tier is $17,700 against $4,140 in year one, a gap of $13,560, or $904 per seat. The top tiers are $30,500 against $7,200, a gap of $23,300. Neither figure includes usage credits, AI add-ons or the support plans Zoho CRM sells without a published price, so both are floors rather than forecasts.
The promotional line is the one that needs modelling rather than quoting. Fifteen Starter seats cost $1,260 a year at the advertised rate and $3,600 at the struck-through rate — still the cheapest paid route in the table, and still below every Zoho CRM tier. A team whose needs are covered by the entry tier should be comparing $1,260 against $2,520, not against $17,700; a team that needs the middle tier is looking at a $13,560 first-year difference, and the tier boundary matters more than the seat rate.
| Tier | Per month | Per year | First year with onboarding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM Standard $14 | $700 | $8,400 | $8,400 |
| Zoho CRM Professional $23 | $1,150 | $13,800 | $13,800 |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise $40 | $2,000 | $24,000 | $24,000 |
| HubSpot Starter $7 (promotional rate) | $350 | $4,200 | $4,200 |
| HubSpot Starter at the $20 struck-through rate | $1,000 | $12,000 | $12,000 |
| HubSpot Professional $90 | $4,500 | $54,000 | $55,500 |
| HubSpot Enterprise $150 | $7,500 | $90,000 | $93,500 |
Fifty seats is the seat count where the promotional entry line stops being a footnote: $4,200 a year against $8,400 on Zoho CRM Standard is a halving, and the struck-through rate at $12,000 a year still sits below Zoho's middle tier. Everything above it, though, holds the same roughly four-fold relationship, and the onboarding fee gets comparatively smaller the bigger the account grows — $1,500 is 2.8% of a fifty-seat Professional year, against 13.9% of a five-seat one.
The point worth keeping from this table is that the entry tier's advantage scales in absolute terms while the second tier's disadvantage does too. Fifty seats on the promotional rate saves $4,200 against Zoho Standard; fifty seats on the second tier costs $40,200 more than Zoho Professional. Both statements come from the same two pages and the same seat count.
| Item | Zoho CRM | HubSpot (Sales Hub) |
|---|---|---|
| Onboarding / implementation | Not published. Two programmes named, Jumpstart and Zoho EBS, plus paid support plans, none with a price; the page header advertises free onboarding | $1,500 Professional and $3,500 Enterprise, one-time and stated as required |
| Monthly billing premium | $72 a seat a year on Standard, $144 on Professional, $120 on Enterprise | $120 a seat a year on Professional; no monthly rate printed on Enterprise and none needed on Starter |
| Free tier size | 3 users | 2 users |
| Top tier pricing | Enterprise priced per seat; a higher edition is described in the FAQ with no price on the card | Enterprise priced per seat, single rate, no second billing cycle shown |
| Tax position | "Local taxes may apply" appears twice on the pricing page | Figures shown are exclusive of tax |
| Add-ons printed on the page | Another CRM sold on the same page at $7 a year or $9 monthly, and a bundle tier starting at $20 per user a month | Cross-sell offer on the same page: Revenue Hub Professional at $57 a seat a month against $95, or Enterprise at $98 against $140, when billed annually |
The categories here are not symmetrical, which is the practical point. HubSpot's exposure is one mandatory line and one discount that expires: $1,500 or $3,500 once, plus a promotional entry rate that is measured against the vendor's own $20 struck-through figure. Zoho CRM's exposure is unpriced scope — implementation, migration and premier support are all named on the page and none of them carries a number, so the way to price them is a quote rather than a table.
That difference has an arithmetic consequence at the low end. On a five-seat account the required HubSpot onboarding fee is $1,500 against $5,400 of licence fees, so the fee is 27.8% of what an annual-invoiced customer actually pays in year one. On a fifty-seat account the same fee is 2.8%. The smaller the account, the more the line that is not in the seat rate matters.
One of these vendors answers it on every tier and the other answers it on one.
| Tier | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Premium per seat per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM Standard | $14 per seat | $20 per seat | +$72 — +42.9% |
| Zoho CRM Professional | $23 per seat | $35 per seat | +$144 — +52.2% |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise | $40 per seat | $50 per seat | +$120 — +25.0% |
| HubSpot Starter | $7 per seat | $7 per seat | $0 — the offer applies to both cycles |
| HubSpot Professional | $90 per seat | $100 per seat | +$120 — +11.1% |
| HubSpot Enterprise | $150 per seat | not printed | — |
The percentages point the opposite way to the prices. Zoho CRM charges the smallest annual rate in the comparison and the largest premium for paying monthly, 42.9% on Standard and 52.2% on Professional. HubSpot charges the largest annual rate and the smallest published premium, 11.1% on Professional, with a promotional entry rate that does not change between cycles at all because it is not tied to an annual commitment.
A fifteen-seat team paying monthly rather than annually hands Zoho CRM an extra $2,160 a year on Professional and HubSpot an extra $1,800 — and the two figures are close even though the annual bills are $4,140 and $16,200, which is what a per-seat premium and a much higher seat rate do to each other. Our annual-versus-monthly comparison across the whole CRM market, including the vendors that print nothing at all, is in the monthly-rate guide, and the method behind every rate on this page is documented in our pricing methodology.
Do not move from Zoho CRM to HubSpot to take the $7 seat if you already need a middle tier. The promotional rate is real and it is the cheapest paid seat either vendor publishes at the entry level, but the tier above it is $90 a seat committing annually against $23 — and the move adds a $1,500 required onboarding fee on the way in. At fifteen seats that is $17,700 in year one against $4,140, and the difference is 3.3 times the entire annual bill you were trying to reduce.
Do not move from HubSpot to Zoho CRM purely on the tier-two arithmetic either. This page prices licences, not migrations. The $13,560 gap at fifteen seats does not include the cost of running two systems while data and automations are rebuilt, or the value of whatever already integrates with the platform you are on. A gap that size survives a migration budget in most cases; it does not survive a migration that also has to rebuild custom objects and reporting.
Do not compare the two free tiers as equivalents. Three users against two is one seat, and one seat is $84 a year on HubSpot's promotional rate or $672 a year on Zoho's fourth user. A three-person team is free on one platform and pays $84 on the other; a four-person team is free on neither, and which one is cheaper flips depending on whether the promotional rate is still in force when the seat is added.
Do not budget the promotional entry rate as a permanent rate. HubSpot prints its own $20 figure struck through next to the $7, and the page states the offer is for new customers for a limited time. At fifteen seats the difference between the two is $2,340 a year, which is more than the entire Zoho CRM Standard bill at the same seat count. A plan that assumes $7 forever is a plan with one unmodelled renewal in it.
If the seat rate is only one line of the decision, the rest is on the same method: our pricing methodology explains how each figure here was taken from the vendor's own page and dated, and the pricing change tracker records what moved and what did not across the platforms we follow.
On the entry seat, yes while the promotion lasts: HubSpot Starter is advertised at $7 a seat with $20 struck through, against Zoho CRM Standard at $14 billed annually. At fifteen seats that is $1,260 against $2,520 a year. From the second tier upwards the ordering reverses: HubSpot Professional is $90 a seat committing annually against $23, and HubSpot Enterprise is $150 against $40.
The $7 is an advertised promotional rate on Starter, with the vendor's own struck-through figure at $20, on a tier that sits below the ones carrying the fuller sales-automation set. Professional is published at $90 per seat a month committing annually, or $100 month to month, and it is the first tier that also carries a required one-time onboarding fee of $1,500. Zoho CRM's middle tier is $23 a seat on annual billing, or $35 monthly.
Yes, on all three paid tiers, and the billing toggle carries no discount badge. Standard is $14 billed annually or $20 monthly, Professional $23 or $35, and Enterprise $40 or $50. Measured per seat that is a $72, $144 and $120 annual premium for paying monthly, or 42.9%, 52.2% and 25.0%. HubSpot prints a monthly rate on Professional only, $100 against $90 committing annually, and none on Enterprise.
HubSpot's Sales Hub page marks onboarding as required at $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise, both one-time; at fifteen seats that is 9.3% and 13.0% of the annual licence bill. Zoho CRM's page advertises free onboarding in its header while naming two implementation programmes, Jumpstart and Zoho EBS, and paid support plans, none of which carries a published price.
On annual billing, Zoho CRM Professional is $345 a month, or $4,140 a year, and Enterprise $600 a month, or $7,200 a year. HubSpot Sales Hub Professional is $1,350 a month, or $16,200 a year, plus the one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise is $2,250 a month, or $27,000 a year, plus $3,500. The like-for-like second tier is therefore $17,700 against $4,140 in year one.
